What is a swim team? If this is your first experience with a swim team, you may think that this is all about competition. Not so. Although swim meets are available (and are great fun for the well-prepared swimmer), they are not our priority. Think of us as a place that offers year-round swim classes with the added bonus of conditioning. A team offers your child a great opportunity to develop their full potential in swimming.
When you join LAMVAC, you automatically become a member of USA Swimming, the national governing body for the sport of swimming in the United States. USA Swimming is divided into Local Swim Committees (LSCs), and LAMVAC is part of the Pacific Swimming LSC. We recommend you visit the Pacific Swimming website for more information.
